Yes Comments: Dear Folks, I visited your church and burial yard some years ago. I was in search of the gravesite of my great grandmother ADA EDGE SINGELTON PARKER Over my long life, I'm 68 and my mother's Virginia Allen Edmonds 86, she has filled my heart with stories of her beloved grandmother. She could tell me that she was a Huckleberry Farmer, or so she believed and that she was at the heart of the establishment of the chuch house at Sweet Water Branch in Conway. S.C. So, some years back I made the trip down and found her grave with the assistance of a dear lady in the office. My heart was touched to see her grave, now sandwiched between the new structures and to know that without them realizing it many people see her modest grave and do not know the heart of such a dearly beloved woman rests there. I hope to return and dress the gravesite again, tidy it up and also I intend to write the history with my mother of this simple and hardworking woman who made such an impact on my mother's life and then in turn on mine. She had little but her spirit and love of God and she imbedded that in the hearts of all who knew her. My mother recalled for me last week a vision of the day she was burried there in that still known gravesite. She said so many people cirlced the gravesite to honor her and that you could see in the earth where they stood..THE TEARS IN THE SAND. So, I share with you and anyone who wishes the desire to learn more about the history of your church, from the outset, any stories that may have been carried down and some of the deep history of the families who started this then tiny church. I am in contact Daily with sweet Dean Comments: Dear Church Family: My husband, John and I have moved here --permanently we pray. John had worked at Southeastern Health Plus previously....I had been divorced 26 years--planned to never marry again. John had been divorced only a couple of years. BUT, our good Lord had a plan and HE put us together as husband and wife....WOW!! What a wonderful love and marriage! John felt an obligation to move to Georgia due to my daughter, Megan, who has brain damage....HOWEVER, God had plans for that situation, also. Megan is now married to a young man with Autism --they are living, by their choice, with a woman who had just lost her husband to death. And, Megan's father is now stepping in and helping them...PRAISE THE LORD. God has given us a wonderful opportunity to live next to Dean Mixon. WE just need each other. John works daily....I had worked all my life, but have not been physically able to work within the last six months due to a rupture in a disc and extremely severe arthritis. Due to this illness, I lost my medical insurance and my vehicle (which I don't miss at all).....I am a "home body" and love being a wife and friend to my neighbors. I do ask specifically for prayer daily: 1. For my children, Megan and Joshua. They are now in the "world" and very vulnerable. 2. For my sweet husband, John. He is a Godly man. He has six stents in his heart. 3. That we can work out some type of medical insurance situation so I can go see a doctor for the bad arthritis, low iron, and the little "spells" that I have (dizziness, low blood pressure). Again, thank you already for the prayers......We love the Lord. I am a member of Apple Valley Baptist Church is Georgia and John is a Licensed, Ordained apolstolic minister. Love in Christ, Nancy S. Yes Comments: Hello Pastor Mixon, staff, and members, I recently visited your church while visiting my folks who are new to the area. Thank you for serving the Lord, Pastor, and delivering God's Word. I thought your messages were rich, encouraging, and biblical. I want to thank you and everybody else for their smiles and open arms. My mother Sandy, who I understand attends your services regularly, said that she really enjoyed the "Anchor Men". Sorry I missed them but I was scheduled to depart for home Saturday night, the 10th of January. Is there anyway that I could purchase a copy of the CD, if available? Please continue to pray for her spiritual growth, encouragement, and church attendance. Please pray for my dad too, who is not saved and is an atheist. His name is Bob also.
